In our class today we tried a new technique for generating ideas. Basically, you pass around a stack of note-cards to a group and people can chose to expand on the idea or use a new card and write something new down. It was really effective. We had so many ridiculous things by the time we got to the end of it.
It was a great way to diverge our thoughts and come up with a lot of unique ideas. I have trouble doing this sometimes on my own and found this technique really useful to me. The only downside is how many note-cards that are used.
